Procedure
A single-level laminectomy is used. The dura mater is cut open. The dura is tacked up with 4-0 Neurolon (braid), and the arachnoid membrane is tacked up to the dura with 8-0 Prolene (monofilament). The dura sack is stitched closed so that spinal fluid cannot leak out.
